Nasi Lemak and Sambal Bilis

Nasi Lemak Recipe Ingredients: 2 cups of jasmine rice 1 pandan leaf (optional) 1 cup of coconut milk 2 cups of water 1 teaspoon of salt 1 small piece of ginger (sliced) Instructions: Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain the rice. In a rice cooker or a pot, add the rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, salt, and sliced ginger. Tie the pandan leaf into a knot and add it to the pot if using. Cook the rice according to your rice cooker's instructions or bring it to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and cook for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and fragrant. Once done, fluff the rice with a fork and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
